LOOK FOR THE SIGN AND GET TREATED

With the outbreak of swine flu and reported deaths due to the infection, panic about the disease is on the rise. With a few precautions, a sensible fitness regimen and a nutritious diet, you can raise your immunity level and beat the flu

LOOK FOR THE SIGN

The illness develops within 1-5 days of exposure to the virus. Most of the signs and symptoms of bird flu resembles those of the conventional flu-fever, cough, a sore throat, muscle ache and a mild eye infection (conjunctivitis). Viral pneumonia and acute respiratory ailments can be the life-threatening complications.

GET TREATED

Antiviral drugs such as oseltamivir (tamiflu) or zanamivir (relenza) may work by preventing the virus from multiplying.
