FOR YOUR EYES ONLY

Beauty lays in the eyes indeed not the beholders’ anymore but your very own! This festive season, cast a spell with dramatic eye make up

Whether it’s smoky eye pencils or bold eye shadows, eye make-up never holds much interest for you. This festive season, we tell you how to play around with colors and styles so you can add high drama to your look. Set the mood for festivities

COLOR TALES
For the eye shadow, think bold and dramatic-amethyst, sea green, electric pink, they all work! A general rule to follow would be to apply the eye shadow from the lashes to halfway up the lid area. A slightly darker shade can be applied on the brow bone or even directly in the centre of the eye, where the pupil sits

WHAT EVERY CONCERNED MOTHER NEEDS TO KNOW

Most children are picky eaters but for them it is like any other habit. Nevertheless, as a mother, it is important to know the consequences of picky eating. Research reveals that

1)80% of mothers consider their child as a picky eater
2)70% of mothers feel that their child displays lack of energy and gets tired often
3)57% feel that their child is not gaining weight
4)42% feel that their child falls sick often

Studies have shown that picky eating can result in stunted growth- both physical and mental, susceptibility to chronic illness, and nutritional deficiencies, obesity and eating disorders later on in life and even social and emotional problems in some cases.

BODY BEAUTIFUL AND EXERCISE

1) Exercise burns fatty tissues, balances blood sugar level and provides oxygen therapy. These factors boost cell generation making your skin glow and look healthier.
2) Sweating opens up pores releasing wastes out of the body and improves your skin quality. Exercise should be considered no less than a skin care routine.
3) It tones your body and reduces cellulite too. This makes the skin even.
4) The increased blood flow carries more oxygen and nutrients to the skin thus enhancing it- so you need not be so much bothered about expensive beauty products.
5) Known to relive stress, exercise frees the mind from excess tension. A relaxed mind and a relaxed skin are the easiest way to keep your wrinkles and acne at bay!

EAT HEALTHY AND STAY HEALTHY

ON A FOOD TRAIL: ban the overload of harmful substances and switch over to food and drinks with heavy nutritious value. This will speed up the elimination process of waste and boost new cell growth. ”high fatty foods release a lot of lipid peroxidation, which in turn leads to toxins being produced in the body.” Ditch the calories and go for lighter and more refined options like fresh fruits and vegetable, grains, nuts and fruit. Slowly add herbs and always consume boiled water; it’s one of the best initially, it will make you a bit weak and dizzy, causing skin blemishes and minor headaches, these are signs of the detox process in work. The changes in body reaction will gradually appear as your body identifies with the new routine.

FIGHTING FIT

Detoxification through exercise works fantastically! Exercise stimulates the circulation of body fluids, increases the body temperature and therefore flushes out toxins from the body through sweat. It also helps massage the internal organs and most, importantly, helps lose extra weight and fat from the body which tends to store toxins. All these efforts have direct effects on your looks too. Depending on the food intake, you can also decide the exercise routine. Ideally, you should work out for not more than 45 minutes during detoxification. The exercises can be freehand involving stretches, 20-30 minutes cardio, etc.
FITNESS MANTRAS:
Go for a walk every day for 20-30 minutes.
Do aerobics, cardiovascular and muscle workout (all in proportion).
Do bicycling, walking, swimming, stomach and twisting exercises.

HAIR DETOXIFICATION

MANE CALL

Can you imagine having lustre-less hair? Well, no one can! But toxins are bound to attack your hair as well. Toxins in the form of internal and external waste damage your hair. The accumulated waste left behind on the scalp after getting disposed off by the blood circulation, air pollutants, chloride in the swimming pool-almost everything puts the health of your lovely tresses at risk. However, maintaining its beauty is not a difficult task. Be alert, notice the change and take necessary action. Following a regular detox plan will reduce half of the toxic exposure. Take special care of your hair especially after it is exposed to heavy toxic air (build up environment pollutants or cigarette smoke)

WHY SHOULD YOU DETOX

On a general basis detoxification is not necessary. It is only in cases where a person’s body has gone through some major abuse in terms of bad eating habits or people who put their body through any kind of substance abuse like smoking or drinking that it becomes necessary to flush out the toxins from the body through a detoxification process. At the same time, given the amount of toxins our body is exposed to every day, going for a detox every few months for a week or 10 days or even twice a month, every alternate weekend would work wonders for your skin and body.
